Where in the world is Chris?

Beginning of Day 2

Got an email early from Chris:

It's 6:20am. I'm just about to turn on tracking and roll out for the border. Slept restlessly last night and my stomach is a bit upset but I ate some food and I'm about to get on my way. I figure with an early start I get an extra ~4 free hours over yesterday :)

As of 8:15, he's already through Fernie and headed for the border!

If he slept anywhere near as restlessly as I did, I'm guessing he'll stop for a nap at some point...

Cam,

In short, Chris has friends on both sides of the "debate" and didn't want to have to choose sides. He, instead, chose to do it as an individual time trial starting in Banff and splitting the two groups. For him, it seems to have turned out to be a good decision because it allowed him the flexibility to bump his start date back when he saw the weather wasn't going to be wonderful.

Go Chris! I am a little behind in reading about your adventure but it is truly inspiring! I have a tip to help you stay safe:

-Don't pet the baby moose...their momma's don't like it.

I like following the transponders tracking of Chris. I tried for like twenty minutes to zoom in on the road and pan up and down to find him on the actual satellite picture...but alas, I failed in my endeavor. I'm praying for a safe trip for him, and you Marni. I can't imagine the butterflies in your belly over letting him ride this. It truly is "epic".

i thought maybe i'd try to find chris here in whitefish around lunch time tomorrow but perhaps later tonight at the rate he's moving... great time he's making so far, i guess that doesn't come as much of a surprise.
